About

MelcsiMade Illustration

I’m Melcsi, a freelance designer based in Hungary, with roots tracing back to my studies at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts. It’s where I earned my diploma and refined my skills across various mediums, from graphic design to illustration.

My journey began with a passion for storytelling, leading me to start my career as an illustrator. Initially, I was hired to create digital textbooks for children aged 7-10. Over time, my focus shifted towards projects tailored for adult audiences, including album, and podcast covers, as well as posters and various marketing materials. At the moment, my work centers around book-themed illustrations.

When it comes to defining my artistic style, I gravitate towards terms like bold typography, fantasy, humor, pop art, folk, and the occult. Both color and linework play integral roles in my creative process.

While I thrive on crafting bold and vibrant standalone pieces, I also specialize in designing seamless patterns. These patterns extend beyond digital media to encompass textiles, stationery, and home decor.

Companion

My creative journey isn’t a solo one; I’m accompanied by Daisy, my loyal dachshund and dedicated quality inspector. With her keen eye (and nose) for detail, Daisy ensures that every pixel meets her discerning standards. She’s not just a furry companion; she’s an essential part of the team, bringing joy and enthusiasm to our collaborative efforts.
